As minister of a large Dutch Reformed Congregation, Petrus Carstens met many people with wonderful visions for making a difference, but soon realized that without finances people are limited in accomplishing their goals. In 2004 Petrus started investing, and within two years he built up an asset base exceeding $2.4 million and doubled that in the next year. By 2006, he started his first company. That same year, he was the top-performing student globally in Robert Kiyosaki's (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad) wealth coaching academy. He now owns 10 companies with his partner Charl Ackermann.
